Young, Just Us Again
Part 2:
Resurrections
Written and Edited by Daniel Dyer
The Kent farm, as the newest member of the family, Conner Kent comes inside after finishing up his chores.
“Finished fixing the fence, Conner,” Jonathan Kent asks as he reads his paper.
“Yeah... it’s done. Sorry about that, Mr K... Uncle Jonathan. I didn’t mean to crash into it the other day.”
“That’s quite alright, dear. It wasn’t your fault. ‘Superboy’ had to stop that weird shape changing creature.”
“B.E.M. Or Bernie. I’m curious how he got here from Hawaii. Guess I’ll ask him once he recovers.”
“So he’s still unconscious in the barn?” Jonathan asks.
“Yeah. Don’t worry though. He’s harmless currently. Just when he changes... well, you guys witnessed it, Conner says as he heads upstairs. “Guess I should start my homework.
“We’ll call you for dinner,” Martha says as she turns to Jonathan. “So much like our Clark.”
Conner, as he enters his room, receives a shock finding Robin, leaning against his window.
“You really should think about cleaning your room. I mean, how can you even find your desk to do your homework?”
“Tim...? How...? Did you...tell anyone?”
“Your secret’s safe with me. As far as the ‘how’ goes, well it didn’t take a genius to figure out that after Batgirl’s cruise she took off to find you, in Smallville. Especially after Batman confronted Superman, who was first interviewed by Smallville native, Clark Kent. That was his big break, after all,” Robin explains and holds up a picture of Clark and a picture of Superman. “I gotta say, I don’t see the resemblance.”
“Ha ha. Real funny. Guess you really were taught by the world’s greatest detective. But... and don’t take this the wrong way... but why are you here?”
Suddenly very serious, the Boy Wonder answers, "Trouble."
